Brendan Burnett, founder Sierra Alta Partners

Brendan has 35 years of experience in the professional and financial services industry. Following 10 years of experience in two major Wall Street firms, she joined the boutique executive search firm Sullivan and Company in 1990 as the first partner in this start-up. Sullivan and Company merged with Heidrick and Company in 1999, and Brendan joined Heidrick as Senior Managing Director.

At Heidrick, Brendan led multiple key account relationships and played a major role in developing the west coast practice. Additionally, she partnered with Tim Boerkoel in co-launching the chief marketing officer practice. She was recruited back to New York as a Founding Partner, Vice Chairman and Executive Committee member of CTPartners. In addition to building one of the first and most successful Diversity & Inclusion practices, Brendan also developed and led teams covering multiple key accounts including American Express, Ameriprise Financial, Bank of America, Fortress Investments, GE, Moody’s, multiple regulators and global stock exchanges, THLee Partners, US Trust, Wells Fargo, among others.

Brendan relocated to Los Angeles in 2013 and founded Sierra Alta Partners LLC in 2014.  Brendan relocated to Los Angeles in 2012 serving both the entertainment industry and financial services across the country. Because her practice was so financial services, BOD and corporate infrastructure focused she migrated her base back to New York in 2015. Product offerings include senior-level executive search and leadership team evaluation, market research and compensation analysis.

Brendan has an undergraduate degree in economics. She also graduated from the University of Pennsylvania/Wharton with a joint JD/MBA. She serves on a variety of boards.
