HPC COMMENTARY: THE ROAD AHEAD FOR LAW – NEVER BORING.
Change is a dragon. You can ignore it, which is futile. You can fight it, in which case you will lose. Or you can ride it.
– Anon.
I asked Google Translate what the status of our internal flight to Helsinki was on our drive to Joensuu Airport the other day. It reassured us that “Hamburger is cancelled”.
We made it to Helsinki nevertheless.
The world around us is changing – it is getting ever smaller.
For law, the pace is rapidly increasing. The familiar hush of law will be robustly interrupted by the inroads of #AI tech especially.
In all things, enjoy the journey – and if you’re like me, enjoy the company and conversation of those walking with you.
Over the last several years, I’ve enjoyed sharing time and conversation with so many legal industry practitioners whose stories we’ve told in the interviews posted to www.HPC.law.
With some delight, what struck me as I spent time on the farm in Ireland recently is just how many of the insights and predictions we discussed are coming to fruition.
None moreso than the importance of true leadership in the face of change – the courage to lead and the creativity to lead boldly, intelligently, with purpose.
The decade of change of which we spoke and on which we embarked, like a good walk, is upon us – and it is greatly exciting and fulfilling.
